Initial Appointment

At Motion Kids Therapy, the initial appointment with a physiotherapist is made up of 2 parts:

Part 1 Face-to-Face Session (45 minutes): In Clinic Assessment (45 minutes). A face-to-face session where the Exercise Physiologist evaluates your child’s strength, coordination, endurance and movement patterns through engaging, play-based activities.

Part 2 Non-Face-to-Face Support (30 minutes): Non Face-to-Face Session (30 minutes). Comprehensive analysis of assessment findings, collaboration with teachers and other professionals and development of a tailored therapy plan.

Ongoing Therapy Appointments

Following your initial appointment, your exercise physiologist will set goals with your family and child, and support your child to achieve these goals by:

  • Recommending thinking therapy based on your child’s individual needs. Frequency may vary depending on the needs of the child, but appointments are usually 45 minutes in duration, with 15 minutes allocated for preparation and documentation.
