Anne-Maree

In 1985, I graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy. Since that time, I have worked extensively across various hospitals, residental care, aged care and paediatric facilities in Brisbane and surrounding areas. I worked for Cerebral Palsy League for 6 1/2 years as a Consulting Physiotherapist in Assistive Technology with children and adults with Cerebral Palsy. In this position, I ran specialised wheelchair and seating clinics and Hart Walker clinics for clients in Brisbane, Townsville and Mackay. Most recently, I worked for 17 years with the Queensland Department of Education as a Senior Physiotherapist servicing schools and Special Schools in the Redlands and Logan areas. In this position, I supported other physiotherapists and facilitated the inclusion of neurodiverse students in all aspects of the school curriculum. I have a passion for working with children with disabilities, neurological and developmental disorders. The fact that I get to “embed my therapy interventions into fun, play-based activities with kids” brings me a lot joy and fulfilment in my work. In my spare time, I enjoy various arts and crafts, gardening, ballroom dancing with my husband and caring for my two very young grandchildren. I am thrilled to be joining the fabulous team at Motion Health Kids Therapy in 2026 and I can’t wait to be making a difference in the lives of its’ children and families.
